Mark Hopkins is considered one of the premier bronze sculptors in the United States. From tabletop pieces to monuments, his work is displayed in galleries, homes, offices, and public settings around the world.
His work can be found exclusively in Oregon at Salem’s Roger Yost Gallery.
Hopkins’ subjects are as numerous and varied as his interests – wildlife, the wild west, history, children, fantasy, sports, and music. With a style so flowing and alive it has been called “bronze in motion,” the work is as passionate and expressive as the man.
Hopkins’ artistic ability began to develop in childhood, first with drawing and painting. In his early teens, with the encouragement of a caring school teacher, he discovered sculpture. In the more than 30 years since, this passion has become a thriving professional career.
The sculptor made himself a technical expert in “lost wax” bronze casting. In 1988, he established Mark Hopkins Sculpture, Inc., a bronze foundry nestled in the foothills of the northwest Georgia mountains. There he brought together a talented group of skilled craftsmen.
With many collective years of experience, this expert team ensures that each sculpture represents the highest in quality, craftsmanship, and beauty. They make it possible for the Yost Gallery to offer extraordinary sculptures at very affordable prices.
